A Renewed Focus on Paratriathlon Coaching

Several years ago, I became involved in working with athletes with disabilities through multisport activities for veterans at the Center for the Intrepid at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. I also participated in organizing a Sprint Triathlon at the base.
I've renewed my knowledge and experience in, and desire to do more, paratriathlon coaching. I obtained my Level 1 USAT Paratriathlon Coaching cert and was able to be an assistant coach at the first-ever USAT-sanctioned Adaptive Triathlon in Pflugerville TX in late 2024.
In May 2025, I earned my Level 2 Coaching Certification at the Paratriathlon Clinic in Hammond IN -- following classroom sessions, I gained more experience by coaching and interacting with athletes there for the Leon's Triathlon.
So I'm putting out a call to any newbie adaptive athlete or someone with a physical disability who has questions about getting into the sport. If you know of someone who won't get this, please pass on the info.
Contact me via lonestarmultisports.com -- my learning curve is still a little vertical, but I do have access to resources that can answer questions I can't.
